Understanding evidence
Every finding is tied to its source. Here is how to read the evidence markers.
Every conclusion in a BrandUnder report can be traced to the words, code or source it came from. Open "Evidence and findings" under any metric to see the quotes behind it.
How findings are known
- Observed: seen directly on the website.
- Inferred: several independent signals point to it, although no single sentence states it.
- Outside source: confirmed by a source outside the website.
- Unknown: the evidence is not enough to say.
Scope
Each finding also has a scope: homepage, website, domain, entity, brand or outside the website. Something missing from the homepage is reported as a homepage finding, not as something the brand lacks.
